Microsoft released the new update Windows 10 Version 21H1 on May 18, 2021. Also, called Windows 10 May 2021 Update, codename as 21H1 (First half-year update) and build 19043. This update contains all the bug fixes, improvements, new features including the previously released updates Windows 10 Version 20H2.
Installation
If you are the running latest version of Windows 10 like the Windows 10 October 2020 Update, then you can directly update from Windows Update settings.
- Open the pc as Administrator User.
- Go to Settings from Start Menu or Action Center.
- Select Update & Security.
- Select the Windows Update tab from the left panel.
- Click on Check for updates
- Then, click on Download and Install in Feature update to Windows 10 Version 21H1,
- Restart the PC after completing the installation process.
What's new in this update
In this updates, there are not any major changes but has minor change:
- Windows Hello multicamera support allows users to decide on an external camera priority when using high-end displays with integrated cameras.
- Windows Defender Application Guard performance improvements including optimizing document opening scenario times.
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) includes a performance improvement to support remote work scenarios
