Microsoft has released a brand new feature called News and Interests within the newer versions of Windows 10. This feature allows you to quickly check the most recent news, headlines, weather, sports, stocks, and traffic, and gives you easy access to important information, without the distraction of switching between apps, websites, and other devices. It appears on the bottom right side of the taskbar with the present weather.
You can access this feature directly from your taskbar, hover, or clicking on the weather icon. If you do not see the weather icon within the taskbar, then follow these steps:
- Go to the taskbar.
- Right-click the taskbar on the empty area.
- Navigate to the News and Interests drop menu from the popup menu.
- Then, select the Show icon and text.
- Now, you may see the weather icon on the taskbar.
I don't see News and Interest on the Taskbar?
- These features are available on devices running Windows 10 version 1909 or later.
- If you have got multiple display screens, then it will only appear on primary monitors.
- It will only appear where your taskbar is located at the bottom of the screen.
- You must have enough space in the taskbar to display these features.
- Go to Edit Group Policy and navigate to "Computer Configuration => Administrative Templates => Windows Components => News and Interests => Enable news and interests on the taskbar.", set it to Not Configured, and restart the pc.
