DLL stands for Dynamic Link Library, implemented on the operating system by Microsoft cooperation, vcruntime140.dll is used to store source code or data information for executing any programs on Windows. Usually, you'll find this file on your computer's windows installation drive i.e C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory.
The module vcruntime140.dll is a collection of Microsoft Windows OS components that deals with audio, video, graphic, and game, related tasks directly on the hardware. The latest vcruntime140.dll is available in the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. The version of DirectX can be identified using DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag) on Windows PC.
- Go to the Start menu.

- Open dxdiag application from the search results.
